oko sessions oversight

Each supervisor's reading of each session under it: whether it works on its item, whether it moves, whether the work is sound, whether it heads the wrong way and whether it circles, with the places of the transcript it read. A supervisor's pass is recorded only when every session under it was read since its previous pass.

Invocation#

Command
oko sessions oversight record SUPERVISOR --child ID --on-topic yes|no --progress yes|no --quality sound|poor --direction right|wrong --loop yes|no --note TEXT --place PLACE... [--sample EXECUTOR@PLACE...] [--since TIME]; oko sessions oversight pass SUPERVISOR; oko sessions oversight list [--supervisor ID] [--child ID]; oko sessions oversight show ID; oko sessions oversight withdraw ID --by WHO --reason TEXT

Inputs and options#

  • record reads the child's digest from --since, else from where the supervisor's previous reading of it ended, and checks each --place (a place id of that digest) against it: a reading cites at least one place when the child wrote anything. A child that is itself a supervisor is read through its passes and at least one --sample EXECUTOR@PLACE, an executor below it and a place of that executor's digest.
  • show and withdraw take an id or a prefix only one id begins with. withdraw --by is operator or the reading's own supervisor. The SUPERVISOR of record and pass is proven as `oko sessions role`'s --by is: the command runs in that supervisor's own session (or one that succeeds it), and is refused naming the proven caller otherwise; withdraw --by operator stands only outside every agent session, present. Through the native API oversight_record, oversight_pass and oversight_withdraw are taken only from the client whose running code is Oko Desktop, where the operator records them.
  • The register is oversight.json beside Oko's registers; OKO_OVERSIGHT names another file. Every answer is JSON; --plain prints it as lines.

Output and state effect#

  • record keeps {id, supervisor, child, childRole, at, since, until, onTopic, progress, quality, direction, looping, note, places, samples, childPasses, reactionSeconds, turnSeconds}: reactionSeconds is how long the child's oldest work written after the previous reading waited for this one, kept only when the reading continued where the previous one ended; turnSeconds is how long each of the child's turns took. These are the measures a supervisor's span is read from (`oko sessions role`).
  • pass keeps {id, supervisor, at, children, readings}. list prints {readings, passes, adoptions}, filtered by --supervisor and --child; show prints one reading or pass; withdraw marks a reading withdrawn with who and why, and a withdrawn reading counts for no pass and no measure.
  • The native API's supervision_tree answers each supervisor's load {supervisor, depth, children, readings, childrenRead, reactionSeconds, turnSeconds, span, room, why}, the sessions each still owes a reading and the role tree; Oko Desktop's Supervision tree panel shows them, and records readings, passes and withdrawals through oversight_record, oversight_pass and oversight_withdraw.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • “oko sessions oversight takes record, pass, list, show or withdraw; got <verb>”, “oko sessions oversight record: <flag> takes yes or no | sound or poor | right or wrong; got <word>”, “oko sessions oversight record requires --child <text>”, “--sample takes EXECUTOR@PLACE, a session and a place of its digest; got <word>”, “<supervisor> has no reading of <child> yet; name where this one starts with --since <time>”, “a reading cites the places it read with --place <place>; session <id> wrote <n> since <time>: `oko sessions digest <id> --since <time>` lists them”, “session <id> supervises; a reading of it samples at least one executor below it with --sample EXECUTOR@PLACE (executors below it: …)” and “<prefix> begins the ids of several readings | passes (…); name more of the one meant” (exit 2).
  • “session <child> has no role; `oko sessions role tree` shows who works under <supervisor>”, “session <child> works under <other>, not <supervisor>; a supervisor records readings of the sessions under it”, “<places> is no place of session <id> since <time> (<n> places there); `oko sessions digest <id> --since <time>` lists them” and “session <id> is no executor below <child>; its executors are …”.
  • “supervisor <id>'s pass is refused: it recorded no reading of <ids> since its previous pass at <time> | yet; read each with `oko sessions digest <id> --since <time>` and record it with `oko sessions oversight record <id> --child <id> ...`”, “session <id> is not recorded as a supervisor; `oko sessions role tree` shows the tree” and “session <id> has no session under it, so a pass has nothing to read”.
  • “no reading | pass <id> is among the <n> the oversight register holds; `oko sessions oversight list` lists them”, “reading <id> is <supervisor>'s; only that supervisor or the operator takes it back, not <who>” and “reading <id> was already withdrawn at <time> by <who>: <reason>”. All of these exit 1.
