Command reference

oko tasks graph backfill

Places recorded tasks and defects under operator goals and asks Brama to judge duplicate-of or follows using quoted evidence.

Invocation#

Command
oko tasks graph backfill [--json]

Inputs and options#

  • Run after importing older ledgers or after a model or goal source recovers. Oko Desktop → Tasks → Task map → Backfill graph uses the same native operation. This command acts on every recorded item, not an operator-selected subset.

Output and state effect#

  • Existing valid part-of relations are preserved. Each placement and relation is stored through the normal relation transaction; the result lists placed and pending identities. A pending item keeps its recorded work and its last failed operation and cause in Oko's graph register, visible as debt in `oko tasks map` and Desktop.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • Without a current operator goal, when Brama refuses or returns a choice or quote absent from the supplied evidence, or when a relation or register write fails, the item remains debt. The CLI exits unsuccessfully when pending is nonempty and prints each cause. It does not invent a goal or lexical duplicate. Repeating after recovery retries pending items without duplicating successful edges.
