oko purgatory confess

Records the session's own newest answer, given after every open verdict and after any self-criticism the operator took back, as its self-criticism; the verdicts it answers stop holding the session. The words are copied from the session's transcript, never typed by the caller, so no session confesses for another.

Invocation#

Command
oko purgatory confess --session ID [--json]

Inputs and options#

  • --session, the session's id; its transcript must be on this machine.

Output and state effect#

  • Appends the self-criticism with the verdicts it answers and prints `recorded self-criticism <id> of session <session>` and the session's standing.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • `oko purgatory requires --session <text>` (exit 2); `session <id> is not in purgatory: no verdict of the operator stands unanswered on it`; `no transcript of session <id> on this machine, so its self-criticism cannot be read`; `the operator's message #<n> of session <id> carries no time in its transcript, so which answers came after his verdict cannot be told`; `session <id> gave no answer with text after <time>, the operator's newest verdict or withdrawal: write the self-criticism as the text of an answer, then run oko purgatory confess --session <id>`; `the operator already took back this self-criticism of session <id>; write a new one`.
