Oko/Docs

Command reference

oko context search

Searches the chat workspace, Oko’s local cache of it, or both and returns deduplicated results.

Invocation#

Command
oko context search --query TEXT --count N [--source chat|cache|both] [--cache PATH]

Inputs and options#

  • Required nonempty --query (or positional query text) and --count, how many results to return.
  • --source is chat, cache or both (both when absent); --cache overrides the local cache path.

Output and state effect#

  • Prints JSON containing results and any source-level errors; no cache state is changed. A cache that does not exist yet answers no results; an unreadable cache or a line that is not a JSON object is named in `errors` with the path (and the line), never searched as empty, and the chat workspace's results still stand.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • Refuses --token, an empty query, a missing --count, and sources other than chat/cache/both with `unknown --source <source>; use chat, cache, or both`; credentials remain Skarbiec-only.
