Command reference
oko tasks show
Shows one task by its identity: the object, what its origin session’s ledger says about it now, its defects and the task it repairs.
Invocation#
oko tasks show <task-id> [--json]Inputs and options#
- <task-id> is the identity oko tasks prints beside the number: `task-` and sixteen hex digits.
- --json prints the answer as JSON.
Output and state effect#
- Reads the `tasks` row, then the origin session’s ledger from the live transcript, and prints: the identity and kind; the session and the number the task holds there today; the harness message id and time; when the object was first and last seen; the text; the parent for a defect; the current status, reason, leader, evidence and verdict; and every defect recorded against it as a task object of its own. Never writes. The output ends with one “history <time> <by>: <change>” line per change to the task’s contract. JSON output carries `object`, `sessionId`, `current` (null when the ledger no longer derives the task), `defects`, `parent` and `history`.
Refusals and safe exits#
- Refuses without a positional and prints the usage. A value without the identity shape refuses with “<value> is not a task identity; a task identity is `task-` followed by 16 hex digits, as `oko tasks` prints it”. An identity nobody recorded refuses with “no task <id> is recorded; run `oko tasks --session <id>` on the session that gave it so its ledger is written”. A task whose session’s transcript is not on this machine refuses with “task <id> was given in session <key>, whose transcript is not on this machine”.
