Command reference

oko release surface

Oko's public command surface, read statically from rust/src/main.rs — the commands `oko help` advertises — from a checkout or from the tree a revision names; the version gate compares it with the released baseline. An unreadable help surface is a refusal, never a shorter list.

Invocation#

oko release surface [--root DIR] [--revision REV]

Inputs and options#

  • --root, the checkout, `.` when omitted; --revision reads the tree of that git revision instead of the working tree.

Output and state effect#

  • Prints the surface document, one `cli:name` entry per advertised command.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • `oko release surface does not take <flags>; it takes --root, --revision` (exit 2); `the answer does not serialise: <error>`; an unreadable USAGE is refused by name.
