Command reference

oko mcp serve

A read-only Model Context Protocol server on standard input and output, one JSON-RPC message per line: the newest and matching catalogue sessions, the roadmap task contracts, and the organization's roster, goal snapshots and work telemetry, every one read from the shared database as the signed-in member. Nothing is written; standard output carries protocol frames only.

Inputs and options#

  • JSON-RPC requests on standard input: initialize, ping, tools/list, tools/call. oko_recent_sessions and oko_search_sessions require `limit`, how many sessions to answer (at least 1); no default is assumed.

Output and state effect#

  • Answers each request on standard output until standard input ends.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • `oko mcp takes serve; got <verb>` (exit 2); `standard input cannot be read: <error>`; a catalogue tool called without a `limit` of at least 1 answers JSON-RPC error -32602 `limit is required: an integer of at least 1, how many sessions to answer`; a tool that cannot read the database answers a JSON-RPC error carrying the database's refusal.
