Command reference

oko version

Prints the release this binary was built as, read from release/VERSION when it was compiled. Stado delivers oko as a managed binary and reads this line to confirm a host runs the version it declares (stado release version promote --host HOST --binary oko --version V, then stado release version converge --host HOST --binary oko).

Inputs and options#

  • None.

Output and state effect#

  • Prints the version on one line, for example the one release/VERSION holds; nothing is read from the network or the database.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • None: the version is part of the binary.
