Command reference
oko terminal uninstall
Takes the terminal back the way it came: the Homebrew cask through `brew uninstall --cask ghostty` when Homebrew owns it, otherwise by removing the Ghostty.app Oko copied into ~/Applications. A bundle elsewhere that Homebrew does not own was placed by somebody else and is left alone, by name.
Invocation#
oko terminal uninstall --provider ghosttyInputs and options#
- --provider names the terminal; ghostty is the one Oko implements.
Output and state effect#
- Removes the cask or ~/Applications/Ghostty.app; reported done only when no Ghostty executable remains. A terminal that is not installed is reported as nothing to remove, exit 0.
Refusals and safe exits#
- `oko terminal needs --provider naming the terminal; Oko installs ghostty` (exit 2); `Ghostty is installed, but not where Oko puts it (<path>) and not as the Homebrew cask; remove it the way it was installed`; `<tool> could not be started: <error>`; `<tool> exited with status <code>`; `<path> cannot be removed: <error>`; `Uninstall finished but a Ghostty.app is still present.`.
