Command reference
oko contact imessage set
Writes the signed-in person's own iMessage handle, the one place the `imessage` channel reads where to write: Oko's own channel, sent by Oko itself through the organization's Ultrareach (the messaging provider `oko message send` implements), carrying every ask and the hourly update. The handle is an Oko Desktop setting, so Oko Desktop's Requests screen (iMessage from Oko itself) and this command hold one value.
Invocation#
oko contact imessage set --handle HANDLE [--json]Inputs and options#
- --handle, a phone number or Apple ID address. Example: `oko contact imessage set --handle +48600100200`, then `oko contact set imessage oko-ios`.
Output and state effect#
- Writes the handle and prints the address the channel now reads: `handle`, and `relay <address> from <sender> (<where it was read from>)` — the organization's Ultrareach integration row, else the Oko Desktop settings the team messaging reads. --json prints `{handle, url, sender, relay_from}`.
Refusals and safe exits#
- `oko contact imessage set requires a non-empty --handle` (exit 2).
- `/usr/bin/defaults write … ended <status>: <error>` when the setting cannot be written.
- When the relay is missing: `the imessage channel has no Ultrareach address: the Oko Desktop setting oko.ultrareach.url is not set; the organization's Ultrareach integration states none; write it with `defaults write ai.wisent.Oko oko.ultrareach.url VALUE`` and the same for the sender (`oko.ultrareach.defaultSender`); the organization's Ultrareach row supplies both when it states them.
