Oko/Docs

Command reference

oko release baseline

Derives released-surface.json from the best reachable published artifact — a GitHub Release above a tag's git archive above HEAD — trusting a tag only when the remote names the same commit for it and a Release only when it carries an asset named for its version.

Invocation#

Command
oko release baseline [--root DIR] [--stdout]

Inputs and options#

  • --root, the checkout; --stdout prints the candidate document instead of writing the file, so a check never rewrites what it judges.

Output and state effect#

  • Writes released-surface.json in the checkout, or prints it.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • `oko release baseline does not take <flags>; it takes --root, --stdout` (exit 2); the publishing-shape and reachability refusals the generator states when the release scheme it re-reads no longer matches.
