Command reference

oko lake adopt

Has Transcript Lake ingest one source, then brings the shared catalogue up to it with `oko index sync`.

Invocation#

Command
oko lake adopt --source RUNTIME --root DIR

Inputs and options#

  • --source, a runtime Lake reads; --root, its transcript directory.

Output and state effect#

  • Lake ingests the source; the catalogue is rewritten; prints the adoption and the sync.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • `oko lake adopt requires --source <text>`, `oko lake adopt requires --root <text>` (exit 2); `Transcript Lake does not read <runtime>; it reads <list>` or `…; it reads no source at all on this machine`; `Transcript Lake answered an unreadable source adoption: <error>`; the refusals of `sources` and `oko index sync`.
