oko defects shape

Writes the shape a defect is one instance of — the design property that let it in — on a defect recorded without one, or restates it.

Invocation#

oko defects shape <id> --shape TEXT [--json]

Inputs and options#

  • The defect id or its unambiguous prefix, and the shape in the recorder's words.

Output and state effect#

  • Writes the shape and prints `defect <id> is of shape: <shape>`, followed by `shape also recorded on <ids>: the second defect of one shape is the finding; write the shape down before the next fix` when other defects carry it.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • `oko defects shape requires <id>`, `oko defects shape requires --shape <text>`, `oko defects shape does not take <flags>; it takes --shape, --json` (exit 2); `a defect needs the shape this defect is one instance of` for a blank shape; `no defect with id <id> is registered`.
