Command reference
oko terminal install
Installs the terminal the live-terminal pane drives, so nothing is downloaded by hand. With Homebrew it is `brew install --cask ghostty`; without it the pinned release disk image is downloaded, mounted, its Ghostty.app copied into ~/Applications and the image detached. Every step is printed as it happens.
Invocation#
oko terminal install --provider ghosttyInputs and options#
- --provider names the terminal; ghostty is the one Oko implements, and none is assumed.
Output and state effect#
- Writes ~/Applications/Ghostty.app; the install is reported done only when the executable exists.
- Without Homebrew the disk image is downloaded into ~/.oko/downloads/ghostty-<id>, never the system's temporary directory, and removed after the copy; a download that cannot be removed is named on stderr (“# the Ghostty download <path> is left behind and cannot be removed: <error>”).
Refusals and safe exits#
- `oko terminal needs --provider naming the terminal; Oko installs ghostty`, `oko terminal takes install or uninstall; got <verb>` (exit 2); `<tool> could not be started: <error>`; `<tool> exited with status <code>`; `Download failed (HTTP <status>).`, `Download failed: <error>.`, `Download failed while reading: <error>.`; `Ghostty.app not found in the downloaded disk image.`; `<path> cannot be created: <error>`, `<path> cannot be replaced: <error>`, `<path> cannot be written: <error>`; `Install finished but Ghostty.app still not found.`.
