oko index inventory

The closed inventory of the sources a window was read from, before the window is judged: per harness and host, what Transcript Lake holds of it and the last operator message read, and every source holding none of it, with its cause.

Invocation#

Command
oko index inventory --since TIME --until TIME

Inputs and options#

  • --since and --until are RFC 3339 times, both required: an inventory of an open window is never closed. --since must come before --until.

Output and state effect#

  • Reads only, and retries nothing. Prints `{window, read, gaps, sources}`: each read entry is `{runtime, host, sessions, messages, first, lastRead: {at, session}}`, the last operator message Lake holds of that harness on that host in the window (not a file time or a declared sync); each gap is a source `oko lake sources` lists that holds none of the window's messages, `{runtime, roots, cause}`, with Lake's own refusal for one it cannot read, and for one it lists as not selected the statement that this alone does not show its stream is off. A machine whose sources cannot be listed is one gap carrying that cause. sources is Lake's own listing.
  • The native API's index `inventory` ({since, until}) answers the same, and Oko Desktop → Search data → Sources of a window reads it.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • `oko index inventory requires --since <text>` and the same for --until; `oko index inventory --since takes an RFC 3339 time, got <text>: <cause>`; `oko index inventory needs --since before --until; got <since> and <until>`; an unknown flag; Lake's query refusal with its cause.
