oko innovation measure

Measures every pending innovation that is due, or the one named: its defect records its repair, a published release carries that repair (the delivery queue's register, `stado release newest --register`), so the figure is read where the change acts, and, for a measure over a window, that window has passed since the release.

Invocation#

Command
oko innovation measure [<id>] [--json]

Inputs and options#

  • The register is ~/Library/Application Support/Oko/innovations.json; OKO_INNOVATION_REGISTER moves it, and beside a moved OKO_DEFECT_REGISTER it is <register>.innovations.json.
  • The defect register for each innovation's repair; the delivery queue's register for the release that carries it.

Output and state effect#

  • Reads the measure again. A figure below the baseline keeps the innovation as a pattern; any other figure rejects it and notes the defect with both readings and the release (`<product>@<commit>`) it was read after.
  • Prints {measured: [{id, verdict, baseline, measured, effect}], waiting: [{id, why}]}. An innovation waits with why while its defect records no repair (“its defect <short> records no repair yet”), while no published release carries the repair (“its repair <revision> is in no published release yet …”, or the delivery queue's own refusal after “its repair <revision> is recorded; ”), while its window runs, and when its defect or its measure cannot be read or it cannot be settled now, with that cause; the next innovation is measured all the same. Every model policy pass runs it as its `innovation` step, and runs derive after it whatever it answered.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • An unreadable innovation or defect register refuses with its path.
