Command reference

oko person trait add

Keeps one thing he said about himself — how he works, what he values, what he expects of an agent — in his words, with the session and operator turn he said it in.

Invocation#

Command
oko person trait add --said TEXT --session ID --ordinal N [--json]

Inputs and options#

  • --said is his words; --session the session; --ordinal his turn there, a whole number from one.
  • The person register is ~/Library/Application Support/Oko/person.json; OKO_PERSON_REGISTER moves it. It quotes the operator verbatim and is published nowhere.

Output and state effect#

  • Writes the trait and prints it. The same words added again are the trait already kept, at its turn; nothing is written.

Refusals and safe exits#

  • `oko person trait add requires --said <text>`, the same for --session and --ordinal; `oko person trait add: --ordinal takes the operator turn's number, got <text>: <cause>`; `oko person trait add: --ordinal counts operator turns from one, got 0`; `oko person trait add does not take <flags>; it takes --said, --session, --ordinal, --json` (exit 2).
  • `a trait needs the operator's own words` and `a trait needs the session he said it in` for a blank value.
